There are two types of Halloween people in the world: Those who buy, and those who are all about the DIY. When it comes to costumes, props and decorations, we admit to getting seduced by the dazzling land known as Pinterest—but we don’t have the patience (or the budget) to make anything too crazy. Enter these easy ideas using Frost King products!
Drop Cloth Ghosts
Sure, you can decorate your yard with premade ghosts from the party store, but where is the fun in THAT? For these spooky lawn spirits, all you’ll need are plastic sheets and a few other simple materials:
Directions: Cut a large piece of plastic sheeting to double the desired height of your ghost. Make a “head” with a big ball of crumpled up newspaper, then wrap twine underneath to form a neck. Draw a face with black magic marker and cut slits in the body for a shredded, billowy effect that will blow in the breeze. Use packing tape to attach a twine loop at the top for hanging.
Foam Pipe Snakes
These scary serpents are sure to creep out your friends and neighbors—if you dare! You’ll need:
Directions: To create the snake’s open mouth, squeeze the foam tube together at one end, and carefully cut a triangle from each side. Cut a long forked tongue out of red construction paper or ribbon and hot glue it to the inside of the snake’s mouth. Add brightly colored push pin eyes.
Happy hauntings!
