On November 10, Frost King partnered with the student - run Freedom by Design chapter at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Architecture to distribute weatherization kits to 40 low-income families in Pittsburgh.
Each kit contained Frost King door sweeps, window kits, weatherstripping, outlet sealers, and an instructional booklet created by the students that provided step-by-step instructions for installing simple energy and cost-saving measures.
The students distributed the kits to low-income renters at events at local community centers; at the events, they hosted workshops with hands-on product installation demonstrations and fielded questions on other things renters can do to improve their energy savings.
Frost King is proud to be a partner of this very special project.
