The Right Way to Remove Window Insulation Shrink Kits

It’s time to welcome spring breezes into your home! If you installed Frost King Indoor Shrink Window Kits on your windows this winter, here’s the right way to remove them:

• Grab a hair dryer and use it to heat up the double-sided tape that secures the film to the window. The heat from the hair dryer should soften the adhesive so you can easily pull the film away from your window frame.


• If any sticky residue is left behind, pick up the hair dryer again and blast it with a shot of hot air. Wash the residue with warm, soapy water and use a soft brush to scrub away any last traces of the adhesive.
